Hello there!

My name is Karen, thank you for stopping by...

Since the moment I purchased my very first home, I wanted to entertain people with food, music and way too many drinks.... I loved the preparation  and the build up as I prepped and titivated my house to perfection in the anticipation of my guests' arrival!

The idea of doing up the house and sorting out the fancy-dress code, sent utter thrills dancing through my party veins. However, traipsing round endless bargain stores for supplies, did not!!

I spent most of my adult life, working in sensible jobs, getting regular salaries and keeping a roof over my children's heads. But.... there was always something missing for me; that nagging voice in the back of my head, shouting, "Is this it? Are you giving up on your dream?"

Now that my children are men, (although to me they will always be 10 and 7), that nagging voice has overtaken my sensible side and is very loud! So I listened. I obeyed, and after many, many months, and even more tears, tantrums and frustration, Your Special Occasion was born!
